Chiropractic

Frequency & Cost

A course of chiropractic treatments is almost always recommended.  A course of treatment for moderate back pain, for example, may consist of 12 sessions.  In the beginning, the sessions are more frequent, and then tailor off.  For example, 3 sessions a week for 2 weeks, 2 sessions a week for two weeks, and 1 session a week for 2 weeks.

While the first visit and initial assessment may last 30 mins or longer, follow-up sessions will typically only take 5-15 mins.

Many insurance companies now cover Chiropractic treatments, either fully, partially, or for a specific number of treatments.  Ask your chiropractor how many sessions will be required and check for insurance coverage.  Chiropractic treatments vary in cost, and can range from $40 up to $100 or more per treatment. If your insurance does not offer coverage, be sure to ask for a volume discount based on the number of sessions required. Insurance companies are typically billed for larger amounts than non-insurance patients as insurance companies require every aspect of the treatment to be itemized line by line.
