Where Did Reiki Originate?
Ms. Takata had developed severe abdominal pains, a lung condition, and a nervous breakdown. She began receiving daily Reiki treatments from Dr. Hayashi and after becoming progressively better, was completely healed within a few months. Working with Dr. Hayashi, Ms. Takata began formal Reiki training and worked to become his last Reiki Master. After initiating 22 Reiki Masters herself, the practice began rapidly expanding throughout the world. There are now thousands of Reiki Masters and millions of Reiki practitioners spanning the globe.
After coming to the west, the Usui System of Natural Healing has evolved over time. In its current state, it is much more organized and structured. The Japanese Reiki system is slightly different from the Reiki that is used in the west.
