Herbal Medicine

Frequency & Cost

Several sessions are normally required, depending on the nature and severity of the condition.  Generally speaking, the more chronic and longstanding the condition, the longer herbal treatments will be required.  As your condition improves, sessions occur at longer intervals.

Herbal treatments are not covered by traditional insurance plans, and therefore the number of sessions required and the cost of these sessions should be discussed with the herbalist.  Herbs must also be purchased.  They may be prepared by or available through the herbalist, or if not, the herbalist will recommend a reputable provider.

The cost of the initial consultation varies, but appears to average $60-$100 depending on the experience of the herbalist.  The actual herbs are quite inexpensive and can range from $10-$30 per week, depending on how many herbs are required and in what dosage.  Reputable dealers can also be found online which may offer herbs at a cheaper price.  Research the reputation and quality of the herbs before making a purchase.
